I have been taking steroids for 20 years now as I suffer with lupus and starting having candida symptoms about 4 years ago. I had the tests done which came back that I also have a leaky gut.
I live on the candida diet but if I eat something I shouldn’t then symptoms come back. Does this mean as im always on steroids that I will always have to be on the candida diet?
Hi Sam, unfortunately, steroids suppress the immune system so as long as you are on them, you will have to have a modified diet. Are you getting plenty of probiotics in your diet?
Yes I take probiotics twice a day and also have natural yogurt on my breakfast every morning. I will be taking steroids for some time in the future. I just dont feel any improvements at the moment with the diet and I am very strict.
