Veggie Burger Candida Diet Recipe

Here’s a great Candida diet recipe for you to use as part of your yeast infection eliminating diet plan.

These veggie burgers are very nutritious and full of energy and protein. They have a lot of fiber so they’ll leave you feeling satisfied as well. If you struggle with meal ideas and getting enough calories daily, these veggie burgers can be a good option.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked green lentils (1 cup dry)
  • 1 cup brown rice bread crumbs
  • 3 egg whites (or whole eggs if not concerned with cholesterol)
  • 1 cup cooked spinach
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped green onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
  • 1 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper

Directions

Mix all the above ingredients together in a large bowl. Place heaping tablespoons of the mixture in a hot skillet with some coconut oil and flatten with the spoon til patty shaped. Cook the burgers a few minutes on each side until lightly brown and firm in the middle. This recipe makes 9-10 medium sized veggie patties.

These burgers are tasty plain or can be eaten with gluten free whole grain wraps or even romane lettuce wraps. I usually make a big batch of these at a time and freeze the extra cooked veggie burgers for quick use later. I’m sure this great recipe will be a great addition to your healthy candida eliminating diet.
