It is no doubt that if you’ve been researching Candida, you’ve found articles that promote the use of colloidal silver as an effective treatment against Candida both externally and internally.
Some heavily promote this product as a cure all, however, there has been no research to back many of the claims that are used to sell the product. Some have found relief using colloidal silver to treat yeast overgrowth though.
How to Use Colloidal Silver
For external yeast infections colloidal silver can be directly applied to the infected area a few times a day along with tea tree oil. For vaginal yeast infections the colloidal silver can be applied to a tampon along with tea tree oil and inserted into the vagina and left in for 40 minutes. For internal Candidiasis colloidal silver can be taken orally at a couple of ounces per day.
Colloidal Silver Precautions
Colloidal Silver should only be used for a short amount of time. Unlike herbs, which are processed and metabolized, colloidal silver is a heavy metal and does not easily get flushed from the body, but can actually build up within the body sometimes causing people to have grayish skin. In fact if you search on the internet for pictures, you’ll find some interesting pictures of silvery gray people.
Conclusions
I would be a little cautious in taking colloidal silver to treat Candida. I think it would be wise to try other botanical based remedies first as they are effective and do not impose the potential health risk of colloidal silver by building up in the body. However, if you’ve tried other treatments and aren’t getting relief then perhaps colloidal silver could be used for a short period of time or if you want to get a jump start on killing Candida at the beginning of a yeast eliminating diet for the first few days. Colloidal silver can be used to treat Candida but should be used with discretion.
