One of the latest health crazes out there is the Maqui Berry. It is gaining popularity because its has a lot more antioxidants than the Acai berry which was yesterday’s wonder berry.
The marketing of the Maqui Berry has certainly been hyped with wondrous claims and already scams abound in the online world. While marketers would have you believe that this berry is a recent discovery to the western world, the truth is that is has been cultivated and grown in the the UK since the 1700′s and in the USA since 1900. It is more commonly known as the Wineberry. There are other species of this plant that grow all over the world.
So basically marketer’s have given this fruit an exotic name like Maqui and there you have it, a star is born.

Many of those that are on a Candida eliminating diet struggle in the area of snacks. It can be easy to find recipes for meals, but snacks can be a another story. Also making something that you can take to a party that everyone will love and something that you can eat on your Candida diet can be challenging.
Recent research has shown that turmeric has anti-fungal properties which means that it is yet another powerful herb to keep in your arsenal against Candida.
Nasi Goring is probably one of my favorite Asian dishes because it’s simple to make, but the flavors are wonderful plus it is mostly Candida friendly already except for a few minor changes. Although it is mainly fried rice like the photo, I adapt it to be mainly vegetables and very little rice if any.
