One of the unfortunate things about returning to heath after a systemic Candida infection is the die off symptoms that can result from the Candida yeast cells dying quickly.
This overloads the body with toxins from this sudden die off.
Your body needs time to eliminate all of these dead micro-organisms and during this process some pretty uncomfortable symptoms can result.
Possible Candida Die Off Symptoms
- gas & bloating
- headache
- a foggy head
- sore throat
- anxiety
- heightened anger reactions
- dizziness
- diarrhea
- constipation
- joint and muscle pain
- depression
- general malaise
- tiredness
- sweating and chills
- nausea
- skin breakouts
What Can Be Done?
Sometimes people begin to feel worse after they start a Candida albicans diet than they did when eating regularly.
When this happens people are tempted to give up, thinking that the diet isn’t working, however, it’s important to keep steady to the course if long lasting yeast infection relief is desired.
Here are some things that can be done to help lessen the severity of Candida die off symptoms.
- Start Supplements Slowly
Some are tempted to start the diet and take a lot of the recommended supplements ( such as olive leaf) right from the beginning in hopes of fast results. This isn’t wise as the body needs time to handle the candida die off. Take small doses of the supplements in the beginning and then gradually increase to the full dose. - Drink Plenty of Water
Water helps your body flush out toxins, so staying well hydrated will help your body deal with all of the dead Candida cells that are stressing your body’s systems. - Sweat
Besides, your lungs, colon, kidneys, and liver, your skin is an amazing detoxifying organ. Sweating several times a day can help your body flush the Candida die off toxins out of your body quicker. You can use exercise, saunas, a jacuzzi, steam rooms, and hot baths to accomplish this.

Conclusions
With a little patience and using some of these tips, Candida die off symptoms don’t have to be the deal breaker when it comes to living free from Candida overgrowth.
Remember also that for many years your body has adapted to having the Candida cells living inside it, so it will take some time for your body to adapt to being Candida albicans free, but when it finally is, you won’t believe how better you will feel.

Flushing toxins off with water through sweat and natural body functions is the most natural way to do it.
Sweating through exercise is the best way.
Hi! Many people are not being aware of Candida Symptoms.

I would recommend eating lots of beans when you are trying to eliminate yeast.
They are a fat soluble fiber, and they are the best food to carry toxins out of your body. I have been on the candida yeast free diet for over five years. I started eating beans (six 1/2 cup servings each day)and have noticed an improvement in my bowel movements, and I have no more night sweating which was caused from an overloaded gall bladder. I felt awful the first week or so, with much gas and other unpleasant side effects. But the gas is not caused from beans, but from fermentation of bad bile clinging to beans. The gas should disappear as the toxins are eliminated, and new bile is produced. You may want to look into a website by a nutritionist, karenkurd.com. I hope this is helpful to someone. I feel as though I have been pulling a bucket out of a well for five years, trying to come to the end of all this. Thank the Lord for healing.

@Michelle, welcome
I think you really should have a solid diet as the basis of your treatment and then add herbs and probiotics.. I also tell people to save time and energy and purchase a pre-made Candida diet because it takes you step by step through the whole process. I’ve reviewed the better ones here… http://www.candidafood.com/candida-albicans-diet-reviews/ hang in there and there is hope
Just take Fluconazole, $15 with prescription, clears it in a few days… I tried the diet for weeks and always relapsed; I don’t really want to do this for months, as healthy as it is I miss breads, cereal, fruit….
Michelle starting with diet and then slowly adding supplements is good advice I think. Enzymes with Betaine Hydrochloride really helped me and a good probiotic. I am much better but still fighting this monster. I have read that Formula SF722 works well. Also read, drinking 1 tsp baking soda in water helps with die off symptoms. Hope you are on the road to healing soon!
Thanks for your input Cathryn.
